Organic?

August 11, 2010

Our teas are better than organic. Here’s why:
These teas are made from herbs and plants that grow in the wild in their natural environment, and are not usually “farmed.” Nature is the best farmer. And if cultivated plants are used, we work closely with the farmer. We make sure that the herbal ingredients are grown in their natural environment in the right soil, the right climate, and under the right conditions for maximum nutrition. The soil is tested before planting to ensure there is no chemical contamination. The plants are tested when being harvested and are again tested when they reach the plant to ensure no contamination of any sort happened during shipment. Every container of raw herbs are also tested for heavy metal content and any container of raw herbs that do not meet our high standard of non-contamination is rejected. (Organic farming does not guarantee that your products will have little or no heavy metals.)
Then the plants are cleaned by hand in whatever country they are harvested and they are then sent to the US. Because these plants are guaranteed to be free of any contaminants they are not fumigated or irradiated when they arrive in the US.
Then the beneficial nutrients from the herbal ingredients are concentrated and properly processed for maximum effectiveness. For example, a low heat level is maintained to ensure valuable enzymes are not destroyed.
Also, it’s a well documented fact that produce, organic or not, does not have the nutritional content it had 50 years ago. For instance, North America’s soil deletion is 85% over the last 100 years, according to the 1992 Earth Summit Report. How scary is that? That’s why our tea is concentrated. For every cup of tea you drink, you are getting the nutritional equivalent and level of antioxidants of about 7 cups.
Our teas are the cleanest you will find on the market, the only way they could be cleaner would be if you personally grew them in your own yard!

Traveling with Tea

August 11, 2010

Here’s how I’ve been making my daily tea as it’s summer and HOT!!: sometimes I buy the GT Kombucha and I save the bottles. They are glass (very important, I think it’s a good idea to avoid plastic bottles at all costs, for health and environment) and this bottle can hold 2 cups of fluid (16 oz.) so they are perfect for carrying around. So I reuse the empty bottle, fill it with cold water and simply add a packet of tea, these days I’m usually drinking the lemon or raspberry flavor. Shake the bottle to dissolve and either put it in my purse to take out the door or I put it in the fridge for later. A bottle of kombucha can be about $4.00, but if you buy a travel mug it’s usually about that, so here you also get some kombucha, which is great to drink in the evening after a long day, put it in a wine glass for more elegance. How easy can life be? If anyone out there has any other suggestions for convenient glass containers, please let me know!

How Our Teas Can Keep You Healthy

April 25, 2009

Your immune system, which is a collection of biological processes, protects against disease by identifying and killing pathogens and tumour cells.

Antioxidants are substances that may protect your cells against the effects of free radicals. Free radicals are molecules produced when your body breaks down food, or by environmental exposures like tobacco smoke and radiation. Free radicals can damage cells, and may play a role in heart disease, cancer and other diseases.  It’s well established that the greatest free radical threat is your diet.  Exposure to chemicals in your water, food and air, etc. are the seeds to cancer but your diet, if it’s high in cholesterol, is the fertilizer.

The beauty of our teas is that they are highly concentrated, are alkaline, remove toxins, and supply high doses of antioxidants to keep you healthy and free of disease.

Drink Calli and/or Fortune Delight all day in place of plain water, coffee, soda, fruit juice and regular tea, and you will be supplying your body with powerful antioxidant protection.  Visit www.bestteaonearth.com to find out more information about the best tea on earth.

Why Tea?

April 6, 2009

“Drink Tea with every meal — Make tea (and water) your only drink.“
Dr. Eric Braverman, MD

Tea is now thought to be beneficial as a weight loss and anti-aging tool.  This is due mainly to the nutrients – namely the polyphenols it contains, which have powerful antioxidant properties.     Tea has absolutely no calories (if you don’t drink it with milk or sugar) and can stimulate digestion, cleanse the body, reduce inflammation, lower cholesterol, and give you lots of energy.  These are all necessary for losing weight and reversing the aging of every part of our body.
